Fellowships

JFK Partners offers a wide variety of fellowship and training opportunities to those interested in specializing in working with individuals with disabilities and their families. Our training topics are diverse, but share the common goal of enhancing the quality of services for children and young adults with disabilities and their families. As part of the University of Colorado Denver, JFK Partners’ faculty offer knowledge and experience that guides each trainee’s learning experiences. Training experiences are composed of coursework and practicum and/or clinical placements. Coursework covers a variety of topics including leadership, consultation, and teamwork skills, essential concepts in the evaluation and treatment of autism and developmental disabilities.

Professionals currently working with children (birth to 21) in the disciplines of medicine, psychology, social work, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology, nutrition, as well as parents of young children with disabilities are encouraged to apply. JFK Partners offers some financial support to program participants. Various state and federal grants support the specific disciplines listed above and enable us to offer graduate education credits and stipends for selected participants.
