Mobile Health (mHealth)

Directed by Susan L. Moore, PhD, MSPH

Mobile health (mHealth) refers to the use of mobile and wireless devices to improve health outcomes, healthcare services, and health research.  This is a rapidly-growing, fast-paced field that can involve the use of mobile applications, mobile communications, mobile sensors, mobile devices, and/or mobile data.

Objectives

The mission of the mHealth core is to support investigators who are interested in conducting mHealth research and evaluation.  The core provides knowledge and expertise to guide work at all stages of the technology development cycle, and can advise on considerations of privacy, security, adoption, integration, commercialization, and collaboration.
