The Crnic Institute is one of the only academic centers in the United States fully devoted to Down syndrome research.
We support a thriving ecosystem of investigators studying Down syndrome via pilot funding grants and access to centralized resources, including a biobank of human samples and a mouse colony for various mouse models of Down syndrome. Altogether, faculty and their teams involved in these programs constitute the "Crnic Supergroup."
The Crnic Supergroup is arguably the largest geographical cluster of researchers studying DS in the world.
Crnic Supergroup faculty members and their teams meet on a monthly basis to hear and discuss research progress from other Down syndrome investigators and network over lunch. They come from a wide variety of backgrounds to work together on Down syndrome. Learn more about our faculty.
