The Human Trisome Project

Did you know that people with Down syndrome have what we call a "different disease spectrum?"

This means that compared to the typical population, they are protected from developing some medical conditions, such as most solid tumors, while being strongly predisposed to developing others, such as Alzheimer’s disease and autoimmune disorders. The Crnic Institute's Human Trisome Project™ is the first and most in-depth precision medicine approach to understanding these phenomena.

The goal of the Human Trisome Project is to elucidate how trisomy 21 causes a different disease spectrum.

We'd love to tell you all about it. To learn more, visit the Human Trisome Project website: www.trisome.org.
