ACGME Institutional Accreditation Status: GME received a 5-year cycle with no citations effective October 2011. The ACGME Institutional Review Committee commended the Designated Institutional Official and Graduate Medical Education Committee for preparing an excellent Institutional Review Document and for demonstrating effective institutional oversight.

The University of Colorado School of Medicine and its affiliated hospitals provide Graduate Medical Education training in 81 ACGME accredited resident and fellowship programs and 65 fellowship programs holding other accreditations or where accreditation is not available. "Residents" includes all interns, residents, and fellows in GME training programs. Please view the 2010-2011 GME Annual Report for additional information about GME.
