CU Physical Therapy Program Scholarship Opportunities

The CU Physical Therapy Program offers scholarship opportunities for students who show outstanding promise.  Scholarships are available for entering and current students and range from $2,500 to $10,000.  Prospective students who are offered an interview during the admissions process will be invited to apply for scholarships.

Scholarship opportunities are focused on the following three areas:

Physical Therapy Diversity Scholarship

To provide support to promote diversity within the Physical Therapy Program at the Anschutz Medical Campus and the PT profession.  Diversity embraces race, ethnicity, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, disability, life experiences, record of service and employment and other talents and personal attributes that can enhance the scholarly and learning environment.

Physical Therapy Merit Scholarship

To provide support for Physical Therapy students at Anschutz Medical Campus based on academic performance.

Physical Therapy Rural Scholarships

The University of Colorado is committed to increasing the accessibility of healthcare in general, and in particular, physical therapy services to populations in a rural community in the Rocky Mountain region.

For Prospective Students:
We offer a scholarship to

  • recognize individuals who are committed to providing physical therapy services in a rural community in the Rocky Mountain region, which includes the states of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. In addition to scholastic achievement, the student receiving this scholarship must exhibit strong leadership skills. Students who receive this scholarship will plan to practice physical therapy in a rural community after graduation.

For Current Students:
We offer a scholarship to

  • To help defray tuition expenses of Physical Therapy Program students at the Anschutz Medical Campus who choose extended rural clinical affiliations during their training or who demonstrate interest in practicing in rural communities after graduation.
