The Silver Society is the University of Colorado chapter of the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). The purpose of the Silver Society is to serve as an associated organization for the students of The University of Colorado Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program to build leadership, to foster professional development, to encourage diversity, student life, and community service, and to promote the PA profession in the community and throughout the campus. The Silver Society hosts and participates in a variety of community service activities, campus events, and student social events each year. Silver Society delegates to both the AAPA and the Colorado Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA) that participate in board meetings and continuing medical education conferences. Membership in the Silver Society is just another chance to learn more about the PA profession and to begin to uphold the values that PAs strive to encompass into daily practice.
