CHA/PA offers several specialized track options, including a Rural Track, Global Health Track, and Pediatric Critical and Acute Care.
CHA/PA stands for Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant. When established in 1968, the Physician Assistant program at the University of Colorado focused exclusively on providing education to care for infants, children, and adolescents.
The adult curriculum was added in 1991. Since then, graduates have received training across the full lifespan. CHA/PA continues to offer additional training in pediatrics, but graduates pursue numerous specialties after graduation.
