Title

Multiple projects available

Project Description

I have several existing or under-development databases that can be used to answer a wide variety of student-directed or already under study questions about pregnancy health, disease, behaviors, newborn outcomes, etc. Data bases include one that contains pregnancy information for all women who received prenatal care within the University of Colorado system since 2011, with linked child outcomes. Another contains birth certificate data for all Colorado births for the last 10 years. Additionally, there are multiple prospective studies collecting data during pregnancy that may be of interest, including one examining electronic cigarette use during pregnancy, or a student could work with the mentor to develop his/her own prospective project focusing on pregnancy.
