In April 2011, a curriculum retreat was convened by the Senior Associate Dean for Education, Celia Kaye, MD, PhD. The goals of this two day retreat were to identify successes and challenges of the medical student curriculum introduced in 2005 and identify 2-3 priorities for evolution of the curriculum over the next three years.
The three priorities identified were:
- Development of learning communities
- Development of master educators
- Restructure the curriculum, including a home for longitudinal curriculum, and "first course"
The complete proceedings of the retreat are available, as well as, updates which were presented at the retreat follow-up on January 31, 2013, see links on right.
