This month: Matt Leroue, MS4, will ask "Global Health in Medical Education: Are We Doing Anyone Any Favors?" and Sruthi Pandipati Thomas, PhD, MS4, will discuss "What med students can learn from grad students." In the Café Ped (short for pédagogique), people come together in a friendly environment later in the day and hear brief informal presentations on interesting educational topics, led by someone who cares (loves, hates) deeply about it. After each presentation there are 20 minutes or so of questions and answers and general discussion. There is opportunity for everyone to participate, and we welcome questions which begin “This might be a stupid question, but...” These questions are invariably not stupid, and we are a friendly bunch. We’ll begin at 4:30 PM. There will be liquid refreshments and munchies.
