Sarcoma Clinic

Multidisciplinary Clinic

Sarcomas are a relatively rare and complex form of cancer, accounting for about one percent of all cancers. These tumors develop from connective tissues including bone, muscle, cartilage, fat, blood vessels, nerves, and other similar tissue. Approximately 13,000 new cases are diagnosed each year.

At University of Colorado Health, we are proud to be leaders in the field of sarcoma treatment and one of only a few institutions nationwide with a team of experts dedicated to treating this rare disease. Our active research program allows us to offer our patients the most up-to-date treatments and advances in therapies through our clinical trials. Trials conducted by our team have led to the development of some of the most recently approved drugs for sarcoma.

Our approach to patient care is to provide a personalized treatment plan to each patient. Our patients receive comprehensive care from a group of sarcoma specialists in our multidisciplinary clinic. The group includes medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, orthopedic oncologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, pathologists, radiologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, and nutritionists. We also work with plastic surgeons, urologists, thoracic surgeons, cardiologists, and fertility specialists to provide each patient with the optimal plan for their sarcoma.

If you or your family member has been recently diagnosed with sarcoma, please contact our clinic coordinator, Erica Becker, at the phone number or e-mail address below.
