Dr. Chad Rusthoven is a board-certified radiation oncologist and assistant professor of radiation oncology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, with a specialization in the treatment of thoracic and central nervous system malignancies. He is a graduate of the University of Florida Honors College where he received his degree in psychology and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honors society. He received his medical degree from the University of South Florida and was an early inductee to the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society for medical academic excellence. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Georgetown University’s Washington Hospital Center and his radiation oncology residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He h​as authored numerous original research articles and has a special interest in thoracic and central nervous system malignancies, population-based research using large national cancer registri​es, and the integration of precision high-dose therapy with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) in the treatment of a variety of malignancies.
