What is School-based ENCOMPASS?
A brief 8-10 session ENCOMPASS program has been adapted for onsite school-based implementation. Designed to work within the school calendar, school-based ENCOMPASS utilizes the same comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, clinical assessment battery and integrated treatment model as the 16-week intervention. The school-based ENCOMPASS is designed as an earlier intervention to address substance and mental health problems (including suicidality) in high-school students to prevent progression to more serious mental health problems and associated behavioral, academic and psychosocial problems. The school-based adaptation of ENCOMPASS with onsite delivery of evaluation and treatment services enhances student access to treatment by eliminating barriers associated with referral outside the school setting.
