Residency Training Program Frequently Asked Questions


How do I apply for the residency program?
  ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) only.

How do I sign up for a medical student rotation?
  Visiting medical student applications are accepted through VSAS through the School of Medicine. Please visit their site for more information.

Is there a cutoff score on the USMLE?
  While we consider a candidate's complete application, you must have passed on the first attempt and preferably with a score of 200 or higher.

Do you offer positions outside of the match?
  No current positions are offered outside of the match process.

What openings are there in your program?
  We will begin accepting applications via ERAS for the PGY-2 when ERAS opens September 15th.
  There are no current vacancies at any other level of the program.

Do you offer a transitional year?
  No.

What is the deadline for applications?
  October 15th.

Do I need to have clinical experience in the US?
 Yes. You must ensure that you have completed an ACGME Accredited PGY 1 year in internal medicine, surgery, family medicine, pediatrics, or a transitional year in the United States before you begin our program.

Do you accept International Medical Graduates (IMGs)?
  Yes, we do accept IMGs with truly exceptional academic credentials.

Which visa will I need for your program?
  J1 training visa, sponsored by the ECFMG. We do not support H visas.
