Welcome to the Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect

Pediatric Section of Child Abuse and Neglect

The Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect delivers excellent services to children in Denver and throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.

The Center has developed funding for new research and clinical initiatives and has initiated the development of a strategic plan to lead the Center and the field of child abuse successfully into the future.

Highlights & News

 

Learn more more about 40 years at The Kempe Center.

    • Des Runyan, MD, has joined us as the new Director of the Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect. Dr. Runyan’s expertise in child abuse has been recognized nationally and internationally.

    • Dr. Andrew Sirotnak received the 2012 Kempe Foundation Professional Award at its annual gala on April 21.

    • Andrew Sirotnak, MD, FAAP, was appointed to the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Pediatrics in Review Editorial Board for a three-year term.
