Residents, usually OBG-4’s, attend national meetings including the ACOG annual clinical meeting, the ASRM and SMFM meetings. Any resident who has a paper or abstract accepted at a national or regional meeting is allowed to attend, may be provided a stipend to help cover expenses.
The University of Colorado Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology hosts an annual Continuing Medical Education conference in Vail, Colorado each winter. All Chief residents are relieved of clinical duties for the week and supported by the Department to attend the conference. The residents are able to have a great week attending lectures and playing in the beautiful Colorado snow!
In addition to the Vail Conference, many residents attend other national and regional meetings to present their Resident Research Project. Any resident who has a paper or abstract accepted at a meeting is allowed to attend and is provided a stipend to help cover expenses.
