Welcome to the Department of Neurology Residency Training Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Our Department is a superb academic department with an outstanding residency program that is dedicated to training the future leaders and practitioners of neurology.
We offer comprehensive training in all subspecialty areas of neurology including Behavioral Neurology, Movement Disorders, Neuromuscular Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology, Epilepsy and Sleep disorders, Stroke, Neuro Intensive Care, Neuro-ophthalmology, Neuro-otology, Neuroinfectious Disease, and Neuro-oncology. Our program is uniquely positioned to offer training at four highly-regarded academic teaching hospitals, which creates exposure to diverse patient populations. Neurology residents in our program care for patients referred for a wide range of complex, subspecialty neurologic problems at each of our hospitals while also learning to manage common neurological conditions. Affiliated training programs in Child Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Neurorehabilitation, Psychiatry, and Internal Medicine are among the best in the country and contribute to our residents' education and to the advanced training environment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. The program’s clinical training years are enriched by the Department's extensive involvement in clinical and basic neuroscience research.
