Dr. Hildreth received her MD degree from Duke University in 2004, where she also completed residency training in Internal Medicine. She then came to the University of Colorado for advanced fellowship training in geriatric medicine. She joined the Division of Geriatric Medicine as an instructor in 2009. Dr. Hildreth’s research focuses on the relationship between cardiometabolic risk factors, such as hypertension, insulin resistance, obesity and hyperlipidemia, and cognitive impairment in older adults. She is currently working on the POEM study, which is investigating whether medication or exercise training can attenuate cognitive decline in individuals at risk for Alzheimer’s Disease.
