During this 4-week experience, students learn the elements of patient-centered clinical care and apply it to all patient interactions. Students to see how family care, community care, and chronic care is provided. The range of ages, conditions, care settings, and acuity of problems is what sets this educational experience apart.
The 4-week RCC rotation is part of an 8-week primary care clinical experience. Half of the students begin with the 4-week Rural & Community Care (RCC) rotation and the other half with Adult Ambulatory Care (AAC). These groups then switch for the second half of the rotation.
