The University of Colorado Denver, Division of Geriatric Medicine and the Denver Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center offers one and two-year fully-accredited Geriatric Medicine fellowships for family medicine and internal medicine trained physicians.
The University-VA integrated program shares a common core of clinical, educational, and research activities, and takes place in a well-established geriatric teaching and research environment.

In addition to enhancing the more traditional diagnostic and treatment skills, fellows will develop competence as teachers and researchers. During the course of the fellowship, fellows are expected to design, conduct, analyze, and publish a research project.
Fellows have the opportunity to work with a large and varied group of faculty, including eight full-time geriatricians based at the University of Colorado Denver, an additional seven full-time geriatricians at affiliated institutions, core faculty from the Schools of Dentistry, Nursing, and Pharmacy, as well as many other sub-specialists on campus.
