The Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado Denver offers a one-year fellowship in Breast Imaging. The Breast Imaging fellowship provides extensive experience in full-field digital mammography, breast ultrasound, ultrasound-guided core biopsy and needle localization, stereotactic core biopsy, mammographic guided needle localization, ductography, breast MRI and MRI guided breast biopsy. More than 14,000 screening, diagnostic and interventional breast imaging studies are performed each year. All studies are performed on-site at the University of Colorado Breast Center, a comprehensive Breast Center jointly operated by Radiology, Surgery and Medicine on the new Anschutz Health Sciences Campus. This multidisciplinary approach facilitates interaction between the breast imagers, breast surgeons, and oncologists, all of whom contribute to the fellow’s educational experience. Presentation of cases at weekly multidisciplinary breast conference is an integral part of the fellowship experience. The breast imaging faculty is composed of well-respected, highly trained physicians.
