Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Alan Palestine joined the University of Colorado Department of Ophthalmology in 2013 as a specialist in ocular immunology and uveitis. He is a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology with expertise in treatment of ocular inflammatory disease. Dr. Palestine has been a clinical investigator in multi-center clinical trials involving drug development for both uveitis and AIDS-related infections.

EYE CONDITIONS: Ocular inflammations including uveitis, scleritis, pars planitis, retinitis, AIDS, systemic inflammatory disease, retinal vasculitis, Behcet's Disease, VKH, birdshot retinochoroidopathy, choroiditis, local and systemic immune-suppression, macular edema, intra-ocular infections, CMV and herpetic retinitis, opportunistic ocular infections, and ocular toxoplasmosis

EYE TREATMENTS: Sub-Tenon and Intra-Vitreal corticosteroid injection, Ozurdex
