Colorado Sickle Cell Care Network

The CSCCN is now administered within the Colorado Sickle Cell Treatment and Research Center which is part of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

The CSCCN was developed as a statewide network of coordinated and integrated services and resources developed to enhance the care for individuals with sickle cell disease as well as to provides an effective system through which guidelines and education materials can be disseminated to primary care medical homes, individuals with sickle cell disease and families living throughout the state.

The network was created in September 2009 under the Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA)Sickle Cell Disease Treatment Demonstration Program (SCDTDP) and the CSCCN provides the opportunity for sickle cell disease experts and primary care physicians (Adult and Pediatric) to work together in creating and disseminating best practices for patients and primary and specialty care settings.  HRSA grant funding for  the SCDTDP program ended in August 2014.
