The CSCCN will be conducting interviews to gather information about the quality of medical care received by individuals with sickle cell disease. To participate or for more information, please contact Julie McAfee at 303-724-9072.
The CSCCN is a new statewide network of coordinated and integrated services and resources developed to enhance the care for individuals with sickle cell disease.
The network was created in September 2009 under the Sickle Cell Disease Treatment Demonstration Program (SCDTDP). The CSCCN provides the opportunity for sickle cell disease experts and primary care physicians (adult care providers and pediatricians) to work together in creating and disseminating best practices for patients and primary and specialty care settings.
The CSCCN will also provide an effective system through which guidelines and education materials can be disseminated to primary care medical homes, individuals with sickle cell disease and families living throughout the state.
