Since you embarked on your journeys as a physician, there have been so many changes in medical education and at the CU School of Medicine. Join your classmates, fellow alumni, and friends for a renal pathophysiology small group case analysis. In these exercises alumni will be given a medical case to consider, and it will be discussed in a small group setting with 1st year medical students.

The 1883 Society Luncheon is an annual gathering of classes that have celebrated their 50th anniversary of graduating from medical school. This year we are thrilled to induct the Class of 1965 and welcome our featured guest speaker Bruce Paton, MD. This presentation explores Darwin's diagnoses offered over the years and discusses how he was able to cope with his illness and excel as one of the intellectual giants of the past centuries.

Parking: The Cultural Complex Garage is the most convenient place to park, enter the garage from 12th Avenue just west of Broadway. There are also several unattended parking lots and metered parking spaces that are located within walking distance of the museum.
On an annual basis, the School of Medicine and the Medical Alumni Association host the Silver & Gold Alumni Banquet. The event celebrates the impact of the School of Medicine and the role our alumni have played in transforming the art and science of medicine. The 2015 banquet honor the Class of 1965, celebrate the 2015 graduating class, and will honor four prestigious alumni who have gone on to enjoy monumental careers in medical care and research. Banquet attendees include School of Medicine alumni, faculty, staff, graduating students, and their guests.

The Class of 1965 will gather the morning of Friday, May 22, 2015 for breakfast and will then dress in full commencement regalia. Following breakfast, the Class of 1965 will lead the graduating class of 2015 for their ceremonial procession into Boettcher Commons for the School of Medicine Convocation Ceremony.

History and Tea: A Conversation with "Dr. Colorado" and the History of the School of Medicine

For decades, afternoon tea has been a tradition at The Brown Palace. Set amid the historic grandeur of this Denver landmark, alumni will be able to revel in the shared company and dynamic conversations. Tea Service includes English tea, scones, savory tea sandwiches, and an array of pastries.
Thomas Noel, PhD, also known as “Dr. Colorado,” is a Professor of History and Director of Public History, Preservation & Colorado Studies at the University of Colorado Denver. He is the author of the recently published The University of Colorado Hospital: A History. He will discuss Colorado’s uniquely rich medical history—chronicling the earliest medical milestones and the University of Colorado’s role in shaping Colorado’s healthcare landscape.

The class dinner has become a fixture of the reunion experience. Join CU School of Medicine Alumni for an all alumni cocktail reception and conversation. Join Dean John Reilly, MD for the annual Dean’s Reunion Breakfast. Dean Reilly was appointed Dean of the University of Colorado School of Medicine in the Spring of 2015. This is the first Reunion Weekend for Dean Reilly.

Mile High CU-ltural Experience​
The Office of Alumni Relations has partnered with Visit Denver to provide alumni and their guests with a Mile High Culture Pass. For the remainder of the weekend, you and your classmates can enjoy a self-guided, cultural experience around The Mile High City.

Restrictions: Upon activation, the pass will admit visitors to three participating attractions of their choice over the course of three consecutive days. The pass is activated at the first attraction visited. One pass per person, limited to one visitation at each participating attraction. Other restrictions may apply.

Special rates have been arranged during the reunion weekend. Call the hotel directly and mention the University of Colorado School of Medicine Reunion to obtain the special discounted rate. We suggest booking your hotel accommodations early, as there are a limited number of rooms available at each hotel. Reservations must be made by April 20, 2015 in order to receive these discounts.
