The IHQSE is a partnership between the University of Colorado School of Medicine, University of Colorado College of Nursing, Children’s Hospital Colorado, University of Colorado Hospital, and the University of Colorado Health System. Its mission is to improve clinical outcomes, value of care, and patient experience across our multi-site care delivery system by developing the capacity of individuals and teams to lead change, shape culture, and drive performance of clinical systems.
The IHQSE’s Introductory Training Program in Quality Improvement (ITP) is a one-day course and emphasizes fundamental principles and skills necessary to design and participate in quality improvement initiatives in clinical settings. Because most healthcare professionals have not received formal training in quality improvement theory and methods, and yet are routinely asked to engage in activities that improve quality and safety of care delivery, ITP is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to fundamentals of quality improvement necessary to design and participate in successful quality improvement projects.
The ITP is open to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, administrators and other clinical staff on the Anschutz Medical Campus.
