CLD Curriculum Overview
Training for CLD participants includes ~20 hours of core curriculum covering awareness of personal leadership strengths and weaknesses, fundamental leadership styles and methods, communication and conflict management training, tools for motivating others, frameworks for leading change, and basic strategy related to organizational priorities and finance. The program runs over 2 days, each lasting 9-10 hours.
The CLD emphasizes a set of foundational topics and skills that integrate with and build upon one another. Experiential learning methods, including small group work and simulations during sessions, draw upon theory embedded across the program. As a result, candidates must be able to commit to 100% attendance—which includes on-site presence and engagement for both days of the program. Participants will need to be freed in advance from clinical and administrative responsibilities during all CLD sessions.
