​​Students wanting to leave the University of Colorado Denver for extended periods of time or permenantly must follow the proper procedure in order their immigration record to be properly updated. Please look below to see if the following groups fit your situation.​ If you are unsure please contact your International Services Specialist​ or set an appointment.​​​​

 Leaving the University for a Short Time (Stop-Out)

If you are planning to leave the U.S. or not attend CU Denver during one of the normally scheduled semesters you will need to request a Stop-Out with their International Services Specialist.

Please complete the Stop-Out Form​.

 Leaving the University Permenantly (Stop-Out)

If you are planning to leave the U.S or CU Denver permenantly you will need to request a Stop-Out with their International Services Specialist.

Please complete the Stop-Out Form​.

 Transfer-Out to a New University (Transfer-Out)

Students planning to transfer to a new university will need to complete the Transfer Out Form completely in order to properly request a transfer to another university.

Things you will need to complete the Transfer Out Form:

  • ​Acceptance Letter from New University/College
  • New School' School Code
