You will find ICB students to be generally kind, meticulous, and hard working. ICB students are among the brightest with 20% making the dean’s list as compared to 8% for all undergraduate students in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. The Chinese students are of traditional college age with the majority of the students coming from the Beijing metropolitan area. Female students outnumber male students about 2 to 1. 75% of the students choose to major in economics and 25% choose the communication major.
Starting in the fall 2010, we sent U.S. students to the International College at Beijing. Students from China and the U.S. study side-by-side in the classrooms at CAU-ICB and the Denver campus alike. This addition to the program greatly enhances the depth of cultural exchange and understanding, improves mastery of both Chinese and English, and creates friendships that will deepen over time. For ICB students who elect to complete their entire degree on the Beijing campus, this enhanced international climate provides a learning opportunity that is truly bi-national and cross cultural.
