While in Berlin, students will take two Political Science courses taught in English, one German language course, and an internship, which accumulates to a total of 12 credits.

Non-CU Denver students need to be aware that they are not able to receive CU credit for their internship. However, they are encouraged to coordinate with their home universities to ensure that they receive credit for the internship.

The Sustainability in Berlin program takes you beyond the classroom. An internship in Berlin is central to the Sustainability in Berlin learning experience. Students will have the opportunity to complete an internship with the Ecologic Institute or one of their local partners. Internships will be conducted in English and students will be placed based off their interests and backgrounds.
Internships in Berlin improve students' practical as well as research skills. One internship in which students could participate during their semester in Germany's capital is Atlantic Future, an ambitious three-year research project financed by the European Commission, involving some of the best universities and resarch institutes in Europe. Atlantic Future would also offer plenty of opportunities for an independent study.
