Marcel Bolintiam is the key academic administrator responsible for management and oversight of the ESL Academy. His love for languages and the thrill of exploring new cultures and traditions started while he was living abroad as child with his family in Sicily and Spain. He has taught EFL in Spain and Mexico, ESL in Boston, New York, Denver, and Los Angeles, and has worked for private language schools, public secondary schools, and university intensive English programs all with the goal of improving the chances of international students to succeed in institutions of higher education in the U.S.
Prior to working at CU Denver, Marcel was the Founding Director of Studies at Kings Colleges Los Angeles. As a New York City Teaching Fellow and a recipient of a grant from the American Corporation for Community Service, Marcel earned a Master in TESOL Education from City College of New York. He also has a Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from Hobart College.
In addition to teaching and learning, Marcel travels extensively, plays tennis, and enjoys camping, rafting, and skiing.
