A Ph.D. in Mathematics from Rice University, Dr. Chuang
spent two years as a lecturer in Mathematics at Duke University before moving
on to assume an assistant professor role in the Department of Mathematics at
Georgia College and State University.
In addition to having taught an impressive array of math courses in his
early career – the calculus/differential equation sequence, linear algebra, and
so on – he also has published papers on subdivision variants, the theme of his
original dissertation. A recipient of
numerous grants and fellowships at Rice University, as well as at Furman
University – his undergraduate alma mater – Dr. Chuang was also a National
Project NExT fellow (2008-2009).
