Scholarships and Grants

Help With Funding

The Scholarship Resource Office is a terrific page with a wealth of information. To summarize...

  • Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit, academic achievement, financial need, or a combination of the three.
  • Grants are a form of "gift" aid, which means they do not require repayment.
  • Check out how to search for scholarships.

The Scholarship Application Process

The application process for each scholarship is different. Essay topics also vary. The essay is a critical part of the application because it is often the only information the selection committee will have about each candidate.

And remember, you don't have to be admitted to apply for financial aid. But you must be admitted at the time scholarship decisions are made.
