Why This PharmD Program

Pharmacy Courses in Colorado

The University of Colorado’s iPharmD® programs are designed to offer a contemporary pharmacy education in a flexible format so working pharmacists can readily return to school, and increase their professional opportunities, while maintaining their work/life balance.

North American-Trained PharmD (NTPD) Program

 Flexible Distance-Designed Format

With no campus visits required, all didactic courses are delivered online, providing:

  • Opportunities for real-time interaction with faculty and other pharmacists worldwide.
  • Discussion groups with nationally recognized faculty and classmates.
  • Lecture handouts and readings, audio and/or visual lectures, assignments, and exams.

Experiential training is also flexible. Some rotations can be challenged for academic credit, based on your experiences as a pharmacist. Other rotations may be available part-time, or may be performed at your workplace in cooperation with the preceptor. Students are also welcome to experience Colorado and complete their rotations at our world-class APPE sites. No matter which option fits you best, we’re here to assist you along the way.

International Trained PharmD (ITPD) Program

Mixture of On-Campus and Flexible Distance-Designed Format

With only two campus visits required, the majority of didactic courses are delivered online, providing:

  • Opportunities for real-time interaction with faculty and other pharmacists worldwide.
  • Discussion groups with nationally recognized faculty and classmates.
  • Lecture handouts and readings, audio and/or visual lectures, assignments, and exams.

Experiential training is also flexible. The ITPD Program offers a wide variety of clinical rotations offered year round, and you do not need to complete all rotations consecutively. Additionally, one advanced practice rotation can be completed internationally.
