Online Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (CTESOL)


The Program is designed to build the necessary skills to teach English as a Second Language. It provides a focused preparation for the teaching of English as a Second Language. It is primarily aimed at native speakers of English who want to teach overseas but may serve the needs of international students wanting to teach English in their home country or other countries

Online Adolescent Literacy Certificate

This program is designed as a series of three graduate-level courses specifically designed to help licensed teachers develop the skills necessary to reach middle and high school student readers and writers, especially those struggling academically... Online Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate

The School of Education and Human Development offers two course sequences in Behavior Analysis to prepare you to become effective Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA®), or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA®) . These course sequences are offered through Continuing and Professional Education, and meet criteria established by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB®) for approved coursework. Once you complete the program, you will not have to provide further coursework documentation when applying for the BCBA® or BCaBA® examinations.



Online Early Childhood Special Education, Specialist License

This program will prepare you with a solid background in assessment, teaching, intervention and collaboration to help you be successful in your career. Your licensure course work will include fascinating topics such as child growth and development, approaches to young children's learning, curriculum and program development, family-centered practice, culturally-responsive teaching in multicultural and multilingual settings, medical and physiological aspects of developmental disabilities, social and cognitive development/disorders, screening and assessment of young children, and intervention strategies.

This certificate fills a void in the field for addressing the needs of infants and toddlers with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). ASDs comprise the fastest growing neurodevelopmental disorders in childhood. Research consistently supports early intervention approaches that focus on enhancing parents’ capacity to meet the needs of their infants and toddlers.

Certificate in Palliative Care (Hybrid Program)

This certificate provides a foundation in current palliative care models integrating theories of caring and change. You'll discuss concepts, palliative care assessment, and planning in the context of patient scenarios to broaden approaches to model implementation.

This certificate provides you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to perform as an informatics specialist. Online Nonprofit Organizations Certificate

This online 15 credit certificate will prepare you to become an innovative and critical thinker in the areas of nonprofit organizational management and public policy. The program allows flexibility so students can develop specialized skills in areas such as private-public partnerships, volunteer and program management, development and grant administration. Students gain insight into the interdependence between the nonprofit, public, and for-profit sectors. The certificate can later be applied to the 36 credit hour MPA program.
