Non-Degree Seeking

Start Your Online Education Immediately

Give It A Try

If you missed the CU Denver application deadline, or maybe you just want to try out an online course before applying, you can always apply as a Non-Degree Seeking applicant. Processing takes up to ten working days

To take Denver online/on campus courses listed in the Schedule of Courses, you must be accepted for admission as a nondegree or degree seeking student. If applying for financial aid or student loans, you must apply as a degree seeking student, even if not working toward a CU Denver degree. For more information about non degree seeking options, check out the

You'll need to submit an online application and a one-time $50 (non-refundable) application fee. Check out the Nondegree Seeking page on the Admissions site.

Undergraduate non degree tuition is charged at the undergraduate junior/senior rate. Undergraduate in-state nondegree students are eligible for COF funding. Graduate nondegree students are charged tuition at the Graduate Business School rate and are not eligible for COF funding.

Extended Studies

If you wish to enroll in courses identified as Denver Campus Division of Continuing and Professional Education (Extended Studies), do not apply for nondegree admission.

Instead, go to Continuing and Professional Education on the Registrar's site.

You won't have to wait for formal admission to the university to begin taking classes. Typically, students who have not been formally admitted to the university can, in many cases, enroll in Continuing and Professional Education classes and transfer those credit hours (with departmental approval) to a degree program when they are formally admitted.
