In the Fall of 2005, CU Denver's College of Nursing became the first school in the Rocky Mountain region to initiate the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. This DNP program has approval from the Board of Regents and the Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE), and is accredited by CCNE.

Permanent residence within one of the following 14 Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) allows you to be eligible for in-state tuition through WICHE/WRGP.
Participating states include: AK,AZ, CO, HI, ID, MT, NV, NM, ND, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY.
