Program Requirements

This ABA program is comprised of five graduate courses taught fully online, with a sixth course for BCBA® students.

  • Online BCBA® students will complete a total of 270 required class hours over a six course, 3-credit sequence distributed among the BACB®‘s 4th Edition Task List areas.
  • Online BCaBA® students will complete 225 required class hours over a five course, 3-credit sequence.

You must begin the program and proceed in sequence, and you'll have up to two years to complete the entire sequence.

Who Can Apply for the BCBA® and BCaBA®

If you have (or will have) a graduate degree in Education, Psychology or similar fields.

If you are in the process of finishing your graduate degree, you're allowed to register for the CU Denver BCBA® course sequence, but you must have completed your degree and required supervised experience before you apply to take the BACB® examination.

The same applies to the BCaBA® CU Denver Course Sequence, except a Bachelor’s degree is required, not a Master’s.
