At UCD, learning management systems such as Blackboard and eCollege are used to support online, hybrid, and face to face classes. These systems enable teachers and students to share documents, participate in discussion boards, take tests and exams, and view grades.
Launching during this year is a new learning management system called Canvas which will eventually replace both Blackboard and eCollege as the sole system for all online, hybrid, and face to face courses.
Blackboard is generally used for face-to-face courses for supplementary course materials, except for the College of Nursing and some Engineering programs that use it for online courses.

If you are logging in for the first time, please use your Student ID# as the username and password. You will be prompted to change your password upon the initial login.
After a successful pilot during the Spring 2013, CU Online is moving forward with a full migration to Canvas. For students, this means only one login and system regardless of if your courses are online or face to face. Also, students can customize notifications to meet their needs. By the middle of 2014, UCD will have retired Blackboard and eCollege and will run all online, hybrid and supplemental F2F courses in Canvas.
