from CU Online


Available Grants 
In an effort to assist schools and colleges grow and improve thier online programs, CU Online offers several different grants:​

New Online Degree and Certificate Program Grants​ 

 for schools and colleges interested in developing new online degrees and programs​​.

Core + Grant Program for New Course Development​

to fund the development of new (never offered) online courses from the Campus Core, GT pathways and high demand courses​.

Course Redesign Grants​
To fund the redesign of exisiting online courses.

CU Online Mini Grants
Additionally, CU Online has a limited number of small grants available for eligible online teaching faculty. These grants, up to $150 one-time funds, are designed to cover or defray the cost of resources used to directly improve online education. 

In the past, CU Online has awards grants for: 
  • Subscriptions to services, such as VoiceThread
  • Hardware such as a Livescribe pen or quality microphone
  • Software for photo and video editing, animation and presentation tools
  • Training materials such as website subscriptions, such as Lynda.com
These grants are not intended to supplement larger expenses, such as conference travel or ongoing professional development costs, such as professional memberships.

Include the following in your request:
  • ​Name
  • Title
  • Online courses currently taught, or scheduled to be taught in the coming academic year
  • Amount and nature of the request
  • A short description of how the grant will help your online teaching

Grants will be reviewed and funded in the order they are received. This is one- time money and there is no guarantee that funds will be available to extend subscriptions or replace hardware in the future. Additionally, CU Online will execute the purchase on your behalf.

CU ONLINE Video Grants
CU Online has a limited number of small grants available for eligible online teaching faculty to use for the creation of high quality videos as a partnership with CU Productions.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • ​Videos are for fully online courses ONLY
  • Videos must be re-used for future semesters

Include the following in your request:
  • Name
  • Title
  • Online courses currently taught, or scheduled to be taught in the coming academic year
  • Brief overview of video or video(s) you would like to have produced. (Include possible video length, location, and whether you will need help with scripting.)
  • A short description of how the video(s) will improve your online courses

Grants will be reviewed and funded in the order they are received. This is one- time money and there is no guarantee that all requests will be approved.
