This multi-campus university is located at the base of the Rocky Mountains in the Denver metropolitan area. You can enjoy the great outdoors in Denver's parks and outlying areas or explore unbeatable cultural offerings and entertainment in Downtown Denver.
The University of Colorado Denver is committed to diversity and equality in both education and employment. The University of Colorado Denver is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for faculty, staff, students and visitors. To achieve that goal, we conduct background investigations for all prospective employees and house staff as well as provide information on campus safety. Crime statistics are available for the Denver Campus and the Anschutz Medical Campus.
If you are covered by the Address Confidentiality Program, CRS 24-21-201 through 24-21-214, please notify the HR Office or HR consultant on the announcement so as to be provided the appropriate time extension for notifications, delivered by U.S. mail. The extension allowed under this program applies only to U.S. mail notifications that include a deadline of 10 days or less.
The University of Colorado Denver performs background investigations as a condition of employment for all prospective employees and current employees seeking promotional opportunities within CU Denver. The investigations are initiated at the request of the hiring/appointing authority prior to making any job offer. Applicants will be asked to provide personal data and sign a release form before investigations are conducted. Applicants who fail to provide the data and consent will not be considered for employment, appointment, or promotion. Background investigations always include review of criminal records and may, for designated positions, require investigation of any or all of the following: motor vehicle, civil or financial/credit records.
The University of Colorado is a Federal Contract E-Verify employer, but only employees hired into a position funded by a Federal Contract with the FAR E-Verify clause will be verified in the E-Verify program. In that case, we will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
For purposes of employment using F-1 STEM OPT employment authorization through Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), however, the University is NOT considered to be an E-Verify employer since not all new University employees are being verified through the E-Verify program.
