The Office of Research Services (ORS) facilitates collaboration among University of Colorado Denver researchers interested in undertaking complex, cross-cutting, and/or multi-unit/institution projects by providing grant application support including: preliminary research faculty meeting facilitation; collaborator identification, partnership development; budget preparation assistance; sponsor communication guidance; proposal process direction, organization, timeline creation and submission coordination; and biosketch, supplementary document, and support letter preparation. These activities are supported directly by the Senior Grants Development Administrator, Stefan Reiss, in collaboration with the AVCR.
Getting ORS Assistance for a Preparing and Submitting a Collaborative Grant Application
Email or call the AVCR, Robert Damrauer, and let him know of your interest in pursuing such a project as soon as you decide to do so - even if you are just tossing the idea around. Share the name of the program and solicitation number, if available, along with any critical deadlines (e. g. letter of intent, preliminary proposal, full proposal). He will be back in contact ASAP to set up a meeting to discuss the opportunity and how ORS can provide assistance with the program and proposal development. Although ORS will support pre-award activities, this will be done in collaboration with the schools and colleges. As such, we strongly recommend you send an email message to your college Grants Coordinator or Administrator to let her/him know your intention to submit a proposal as well.
