CU Denver Boots to Suits

Helping student veterans transition from classroom to career

Military boots

The Boots to Suits program provides student veterans an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the working environment they're seeking to enter following completion of their studies. Student veterans will gain insight from industry professionals who serve as mentors and provide students with an understanding of the career path they are looking to enter. In partnership with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, student veterans are partnered with mentors in the community who have achieved a degree of success and can provide guidance to students interested various fields.

For Students

Boots to Suits is designed to give you a head start on your career path, in whatever professional field you are looking to pursue. Over the course of six meetings, you will gain insight into your chosen field, talk with hiring professionals about what they look for in candidates and get detailed professional advice. At the end of the program, you will be suited up in a custom-tailored suit—male or female—to assist you as you embark on your future career. Register to participate in Boots to Suits!

For Mentors

Boots to Suits is a great way for you to give back to the young men and women who have done so much for our country, by sharing your professional experience with them. The program consists of a total of six meetings between the student and you or others within your organization. Upon completion, we invite to join your student veteran as he or she is fitted with a custom suit. Register to be a Boots to Suits mentor!
