College is the perfect time to get involved in your community. Through the Office of Student Life, we offer a variety of programs that get students involved locally, nationally, and globally to explore social, cultural, and environmental issues while also learning about themselves and their role in a global community.
Our mission is to develop CU Denver students
into advocates of sustainable change through service and collaboration with
communities to address social and environmental injustices.
Community engagement is
approached from a social justice and asset-based perspective. Based on this
approach the following values guide engagement.
Justice & Equity
& Reflective Learning
& Reciprocal Relationships
National Volunteer Week is about taking action and encouraging individuals and their respective communities to be at the center of social change – discovering and actively demonstrating their collective power to make a difference.
