HIGHLIGHTS & NEWS

  • Edwin Asturias, MD, was interviewed by Denver Business Journal​, regarding a study that discusses how Coloradans spend $35M a year on childhood diseases that vaccination could prevent. He was also appointed to the Flavivirus Working Group of Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP)/ Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

  • Elizabeth McFarland, MD, was appointed to the NIH AIDS Research Advisory Committee.

  • Sarah Parker, MD, will begin her term as President of Colorado Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society in April, 2017. She has also been appointed to be an advisor on the national Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship Panel for the Solutions for Patient Safety (SPS).

  • Sean O’Leary, MD, received the Special Achievement Award from National AAP “for outstanding work on immunization policy in Colorado.”
