The Department of Pediatrics Section of Adolescent Medicine provides the majority of its clinical services at Children's Hospital Colorado, in Aurora, Colorado.

We offer a variety of educational programs including a one- or three-year Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at Children's Hospital Colorado. MORE »

Faculty focus on the major morbidity and mortality issues of this age group, including health services delivery, sexual health and disease, teenage pregnancy.  MORE »



  • Letter to the editor by Eric Sigel, MD as seen in The Denver Post​: “Suicide is tragic, but also preventable. Several factors contribute to young people taking their lives. The decision to attempt suicide until the attempt often is only a few hours. Therefore, the means to the suicide attempt matter.”

  • Daniel Reirden, MD, received the People's Choice Ally Award from One Colorado for making a difference in the lives of LGBTQ youth and their families.

  • Paritosh Kaul, MD, was interviewed by Kaiser Health News for an article titled, “Majority Of Young Men Don’t Know About Emergency Contraception, Study Finds” in February.

  • Daniel Reirden, MD, has been selected to the HHS Panel on Adult and Adolescent Antiretroviral Treatment Guidelines, a working group of the NIH Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council (OARAC). He will serve a 4 year term beginning April 2016.
