Exercise Research Labratory
The fully-equipped Exercise Research Laboratory includes a full line of Cybex VR2 resistance exercise equipment (leg press, seated leg curl, leg extension, hip adduction, hip abduction, chest press, row/rear deltoid, overhead press, lat pulldown, ab crunch, assisted chin/dip, back extension bench), 2 Smith machines, and a full complement of free weights. The endurance training equipment includes 10 treadmills, 4 cycle ergometers, 3 rowing ergometers, and 4 elliptical trainers. Locker rooms are located adjacent to ERL.
The ERL is dedicated to the delivery of exercise intervention studies in a safe, supervised setting. Study participants appreciate the personal attention and friendly environment provided by our staff. The close proximity of the ERL to the CTRC Outpatient Clinic on the 3rd floor of the Leprino Building is convenient for study participants and research staff alike.
