Laboratory Research

Evaluating Blood for New Factor Treatments and Global Assays

The HTC laboratory, which is managed by Lisa Villalobos-Menuey, analyzes and stores thousands of blood samples at a time, applying developmental global assays for diagnosing bleeding and clotting disorders. The research conducted in the HTC lab contributes data to hundreds of national and international studies, and is instrumental in understanding the ways that bleeding and clotting disorders can be treated.

In addition to the HTC laboratory team, the HTC partners with the DiPaola Laboratory, managed by Dr. Jorge DiPaola, one of our physicians. The DiPaola Laboratory conducts studies on new factor treatments and diagnostic assays for bleeding and clotting disorders.
