Fall Semester RTD Bus/Rail CollegePass Now on Sale

CU Denver students registered for the fall semester can sign up for and purchase the RTD CollegePass through Sept. 30, 2021. The RTD CollegePass is available as an e-ticket through RTD’s Mobile Tickets app, and it is good for unlimited rides from Aug. 1, 2021 through Jan. 31, 2022 at a cost of $135.

How to Get Your RTD CollegePass for Fall Semester

You need an active CU Denver Student ID to sign up for and purchase the RTD CollegePass for fall semester.

If you do not have an active CU Denver Student ID, visit the Auraria Campus ID Station website for information on how to get your student ID. After you get your student ID, follow the steps below.

If you do have an active CU Denver ID, follow the steps below.

Download the RTD Mobile Tickets app and create your account.

  • Download the RTD Mobile Tickets app through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • Create your account using your university email address and create a password.
    • IMPORTANT - You must use your university email address, as RTD will use it to verify your eligibility for the discounted student pass.

Sign up for and purchase your RTD CollegePass at the Auraria Campus ID Station.

Before you visit the Auraria Campus ID Station, you will need to bring: 

  • Your active CU Denver ID.
  • $135 payment for the RTD CollegePass for the semester. 
  • Go to the Auraria Campus ID Station (Suite 269) in the Tivoli Student Union across from the Barnes & Noble Tivoli Station bookstore. Hours of operation Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Present your active CU Denver Student ID and make the $135 RTD CollegePass payment.
  • Your RTD Mobile Tickets app will be activated within 24 hours of payment.
  • Your ticket will appear in the Wallet of your RTD Mobile Tickets app.

Activate your RTD College Pass.

  • Select your ticket and choose “activate” when boarding RTD buses and trains. 
  • Your mobile ticket will remain active for 180 minutes from the time you activate it.
