Modified Grading

Spring and Summer Semesters 2020

In response to the unique circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, CU Denver announced a temporary grading option that allows students the opportunity to convert letter grades to Pass Plus/Pass/No Pass (P+/P/NP) for any undergraduate or graduate course taken in the Spring or Summer semesters of 2020. Read the full Modified Grading Policy.

Keep in mind that once you submit the Modified Grading (MG) form you can’t change your decision.

You can begin the Modified Grading process anytime. Please connect with your advisor and reach out to other offices than can help provide you with guidance, including Financial Aid, Scholarships, International Student and Scholar Services, and Veteran and Military Student Services.  Although you may not know your letter grades yet, your advisor can walk you through a variety of scenarios that will help you make an informed decision once grades are posted—May 21, 2020 for spring classes and August 6, 2020 for summer classes.

Take these four steps to request that your letter grade(s) be modified to a P+, P, or NP.
